Low Cost Power Connection

So it pains me that Kawasaki wants $115.00 for their power point socket with a relay and bracket attached. Has anyone bought one of these inexpensive waterproof, fused, power points that has both 5v USB for cell phones and 12v Power Point for powering accessories? This is available for $8.00. I understand that without the relay, the battery could be drained overnight if something was left on by accident. Barring that mishap, any reason not to go this route? I'm thinking about putting the same plug on this as my battery tender so when it's not on float, the power point is plugged in. Thanks in advance.

That's a good tip, thank you man. This beats splicing the tender connector onto under-spec gauge wire going to the device. Much appreciated.
