working on the battery

Is there enough room to swap out the battery by just removing the seat, or does the tank need to come off as well?

Bike still out in the shed, too cold to work on it right now (

To make it easier to remove after taking off the cables i just ran the bolts half way into the terminals and then just got 2 pliers and lifted the battery out using the terminal bolts.

Additionally - I put one of those ID necklace-things (half-inch wide nylon to hold the ID pocket) around the battery. Then the NEXT time it has to be removed - it's EASY-PEASY!

Got the new battery in, good advice. I got small hands, just death gripped the battery and it came out.
