Alarm installation

I have a gps alarm i want to install under the seat of a 2009 versys.
Is there anyone here that knows how it install it?

dont mount uner the seat (if someone was to steal the bike thats the first place they look to remove one) i personally installed mine under the top left faring

As Silvie said, also look at adding a accessory 12 VDC outlet with weatherproof cover, fuse this outlet and connect directly off the battery, if this outlet is going to be used a lot, install a relay in the same area as the alarm, use the city lights to trigger the relay. Tap off the line side of the relay to your alarm, do this in the area of the alarm and try and conceal this wiring. That way the alarm is active all the time. A person looking for a alarm and sees the outlet, may just consider the wiring addition at the battery is the 12 VDC outlet and look no further.

Every alarm installs differently, there should be instructions for your alarm wrt wiring connections. It is important the GPS signal can get to where ever you mount the alarm. GPS signals are low power, ultra high frequencies and do not penetrate metal or other materials very well. I would say under the seat is a good location as it is harder to get to than under a fairing if you do not have the key.
