MERRY CHRISTMAS from AZ!

The pic was taken in Monument Valley close to where Forrest Gump turned around in the movie.

Thanks Eddy and Joe for all the advice you provide. While winter is trying to set in here in the Ohio River Valley, I'll be riding Sunday and on Christmas Eve day since it will be warming those days, and no snow, yet. I've attached a copy of the pic I am having framed and giving to my wife for Christmas of a little town on a peninsula in south Tuscany we stayed in back in July. Oh yeah, one last thing...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

What do you do for a Christmas tree in AZ, Cactus or Palm tree?

Merry Christmas to all and have a blessed new year, unfortunately I'm rostered on to work 12 hrs on Christmas day, my work place does provide a free Christmas lunch for those working that day.

MERRY CHRISTMAS #2 from AZ. My wife and I hope to ride on Christmas Day and YES, a lot of the people in our neighborhood do decorate cactus like a Christmas tree - but that is such a prickly subject! And well I am at it, my New Years resolution (motorcycle wise) is to ride a long way (for me) to Florence and see if Fast Eddie wants to have Mexican food for lunch there? Chuck

Forty years away from 2 wheel fun. Sure is great to be back smelling the roses!!!

Merry Christmas to all and a very healthy and Happy New Year.

Western and Cowboy movie buffs may recognize the background as that of Tucson Movie Studios, where many early western movies were filmed.

Not only do we have real Christmas trees here in AZ, we also have motorcycle Christmas tree ornaments. Excuse the fact that it is the wrong make of motorcycle.

Merry Christmas to all.

Great picture of Arizona landscape BTW! I'm envious of where you have to ride this time of year.

Global warming is not so good for skiing or outdoor hockey but great for biking. Ottawa is supposed to be the second coldest national capital behind Helsinki, I think Moscow is third. High of 15C/59F predicted for Thursday and 5C/41F for Friday. I still have not put my bike away for the winter or installed my snow tires on the car yet.

Forecast out of Tucson for Christmas is 58F/14.4C, then 48F/8.9C on the 26th, 10% chance of showers.

STILL I'm glad I'm HERE, not there! I still remember the winter of '70/'71 in Ottawa, when I was based at CFB Uplands. FOURTEEN feet of snow over the winter, w/ NO thaws!!!

It was brutal...!

This is the Christmas card I made at my wife's request for her to send out this year:

Whitehorse Press is going out of business so it's time for a final sale. Signed copies of my book are now $10 with free shipping in the U.S. while they last.
