Good Day to Ride

It was 70 today in the northeast. Had to go out for a ride. After the last five years or so of horrible winters, this Elnino thing is very welcomed. We've been getting an almost steady diet of 50's 60's and today 70 all through fall. Hope it lasts, I am not a fan of winter.

After the last several years in this area, this is a welcomed treat. Enjoy, the prolonged warmth. It makes spring that much closer.

Just to make you all LESS jealous of us in the SW states - left home this morning at 0620, on BIG RED. There was a THICK layer of frost on the car so I had my heated jacket liner at 4 which helped a BIT.

It was BLOODY cold...!

Went out today to run some errands that just happened to take me close to Schlotzsky's. It was 68 Degrees a little chilly for SoCal...

Got up to ~60° here. Took the new Drift Stealth 2 camera out for its maiden voyage. Unfortunately, I didn't get the mount at a good spot on the helmet. Shame as I took it on 200 mile+ trip. Went down to one of my favorite roads around here near lovely Portsmouth Ohio. And all the footage I got was a beautiful view of my cockpit.

Speaking of cockpits, if this V1k buzzed as nicely as the FJR, I might have given myself wood on film. I'd be damn near a porn star!

I did do a little walk around of the bike and yapped a little. I may diddle around editing it later. Figured I'd make it a "long term" review. All 9 months and 13.5k miles. More of a break in vid really I suppose. Problem is, there ain't much to say. Damn thing just works. Makes for a short video...

Yes, yes 70 over here in NJ too. Was a great day to burn some gas. The only reason it's so damn warm is because I just bought two snowmobiles. The last few years we got pounded almost every week. This year it looks like we'll be two wheeling in NJ until mid February. Not a bad thing. Not bad at all. Anyone want to buy a snowmobile? jk..
