Thumbs up Motorcyclist Love for the 2015 650LT.

I noticed a mention in the Retail Confidential column in the latest Motorcyclist magazine (Throne Edition). The 2015 Versys 650LT is noted as a Hot seller, as opposed to Not. When I went to grab it to fact-check my recollection I saw that the Video guy, Spencer Robert, got a 2015 650LT as a Long-term bike, in White, of-course. A Long-term ride is generally about 10k miles with regular updates posted to the magazine. He mentioned that even though he gets to ride a lot of the latest & greatest high performance bikes, the 650LT is the one that's really grabbed him. Interesting.
On the Hot or Not column, it's pretty much Jeff's take on what's moving at his dealership in the Midwest. His experience was that you couldn't sell the '08 V, even after it won the MOTY. He says he can't keep a '15 on the floor. Also Interesting.

The magazines I regularly read - Cycle World, Rider, Motorcyclist, and Motorcycle Consumer News - all are of the opinion that the 650LT is a hands-down winner. And that includes the moto journalists who can't help but tag it as a "beginner bike." Those testosterone-saturated souls seem to require at least 150 horsepower and more cubic centimeters than most small cars to qualify as other than beginner. Oh well. Wheelie on! Oh yeah, and cough up the insurance $$$$.

Yep, mine too but I've "only" had 17 bikes. But I'll catch up.

You probably will. I am sticking with this one for a looong time. It suits me better than any other bike I've had. Even more fun than the 7 or 8 Yamaha 2 strokes (shoulda hung on to the Daytona Special, however) that I used to have. And of course, way more practical.
