Question What pistols will fit unter a Versys seat?

My S&W is too big for the space.

Could you try and stick a pistol under your seat and lock it on place? Then, tell me what fits! Even if you must remove the tool kit, please let me kno if it will fit.

See, I carry a pistol due to crime. However, even with my Concealed Handgun License a property owner can post 30.06 and that trumps the CHL if posted correctly. Well, the place I work half the time posts 30.06 (some texas penal code) So, I can only bring my pistol to the parking lot (can't bring it in the building I work in).

Also, yoiu can't take a concealed handgun in a bar, school, or race track...gotta let it stay in the care or under the bike seat locked.

So, what guns can you fit under the Versys seat?

Anyone have a Kimber Pro Carry .45 they could try to fit for me?

How about a Glock 19?

Anything else?

Thanks!!! Hope I put this in the right place.

P.S. yes I live in Texas. No, I don't have a horse.

Taurus TCP 380 loaded with Federal 90 grain Hydra-shok in a uncle mikes sidekick size 4 fits great under the seat. Great for concealed carry with decent stopping power and accuracy, also a fun gun to shoot! Yes, I'm also in Texas and don't have a horse!

Just for you, this is a Glock 23, same size as a 19 but shoots real bullets instead of 9mm:

Not quite:

Missed it by that much:

Jammed in:

The short answer is, "No, it doesn't fit". You can wedge it in as I showed (don't try it loaded unless you have a bullet proof cup) but it would probably result in at least 3 calls to 911 describing an irritated man trying to shoot his motorcycle. A Glock 26 would fit (or 27 in .40). You wouldn't want to ride with it with the 19 wedged under the seat, there is some metal to metal contact and it would rub the finish off in short order.

My opinion is that "concealed means concealed". I don't know about Texas but with Utah law you can be charged with trespassing for violating a "No Weapons" sign. I'd much rather chance a trespassing citation than stand in the parking lot unloading and cramming a gun under my seat.

Of course with your work you probably don't want to chance get fired over it but still keep it concealed and it's not an issue. If you ever have to use the gun it will be worth whatever consequences you encounter after... ...better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6 and all that....

ETA: A Kahr PM9 or PM40 would fit, so would a Kel-tec P3AT... ...I'm too lazy to take more pictures but they would fit.

In case of an emergency, are you going to have time to remove the seat to get to the gun? Wouldn't it be better to carry it in a tail bag or tank bag?

urbanXJ I did a litte checking for you. I have a Kimber Ultra Carry 45 and it just does fit in the tool tray with not much extra room. My wife has a Sig P232 380 it fits pretty easly with room to spare. Hope this helps you. Ride Safe.

Definately better to keep in tailbag or on person where it can be gotten to easily. I store my under the seat when I'm parked and going into a business / restaurant (that does not allow concealed carry.

I think his whole point is he has to leave it on the bike while at work, and want's it to be safe. A tailbag or tank bag can easily be taken or vandalized.

North American Arms 22 mag fits most anywhere. Louder than a 45. Fired in anger in the dark you could make someone **** their pants.

And if someone steals the bike get a bonus gun with it. Then the thief will be able to upgrade to car jacker or something worse.

While I am not saying to do this but if your gun is truly concealed then there is no reason to take it off. Besides that I would not do business with company that do not allow legally concealed handguns.

My Taurus PT140 Millennium, S&W40 fits fine also.

Be careful crossing state lines, not all states feel the same way about concealed carry as the one you live in and are familiar with.
