horn switch

Has anyone tried or wired the horm to work with the high beam finger trigger on the left handle. I do not use it for high beam and seems it would be more useful and easier to use it to blow the horn

Curious to how the wiring would work

Your suggestion has "heartache" written all over it...But you could check the schematic...Good luck...

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

As a first attempt, without looking at schematics, I'd use a relay. Find the two wires from the finger trigger, splice in a wire on each and run to the "input signal" terminals of the relay (84 and 85, I think). Run the 12 volt power into the relay power terminal (I think 86). Then connect terminal 35 to the positive lead on the horn. If you have a fuze-block like FZ-1, just use the output of FZ-1 as the power input to the relay.

This may be a llittle confusing, but should work.

The Flash or Pass switch is for safety and emergency purpose when you need attention from onwards approaching vehicle or a pass signal as a warning.

Its best to have it in place and let the horn switch be where it is. I thinks a lot of time and study has been done by Kawa when they design the bike.

Of course you can change it to your liking and when you sell the bike someday and If I were the guy buying, i would say what the @#*^, this is suppose to be a pass switch and not a horn switch.

However you can change to a better Horn switch if you not comfortable with the present set-up.

Just a 2cts thought. No offence meant.
