A couple months ago one of the motorcycle mags wrote a long-term test story about the V. They spoke specifically about suspension settings to improve the rear-end compliance. Now that I need the article I can't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction, or better yet provide a link ?
It's a Cycle World article in the February 2010 issue. It's the long term wrap-up of the 2008 Versys. I can't find the link though. You might have to order a back copy. I had a copy laying on my desk so I could frame the article and now it's missing. *grumbles*
The first thing to do is to drop the rear preset down to 2 or 3, and soften your rebound a bit at a time. I had it set-up pretty firm. It was a little harsh, but it handled great on the smooth stuff. If that doesn't work out, then I'd start looking at alternatives. Free advice.
