Shift Lever assembly: Need measurement comparisons!

So I have been riding my new V whilst rehab-ing a bad ankle sprain, thought the insane angle I have endured on my shift lever was just me being gimpy (the sprain was a rollout and that type of motion is what hurts).

Then, my husband was on my V yesterday and said, "Man this thing is so far in, I keep missing it. I wonder if the angle is right on it." It's almost as if the pedal is short by an inch. Just feels off.

So, maybe it's a bent lever? Anyhow, I have calipers and measured 24.5 MM from the inside of the gear shift arm to the bracket directly behind it (it has a cable/hose of some kind that it keeps in place. Part correspond to schematics as 13236A (the arm).

Any comparisons would be appreciated!

If you're talking about that silver "bracket" that attaches to the footstand, then mine is the same. I did not use calipers but a ruler and the gap was around 24 mm
