Drilling back rest

Hi all
quick questions, can I use a drill bit for metal to drill the holes in the topbox or will I really screw things up? If it's not advisable I would rather know than try it since once the holes are there there is nowt I can do about it.

Yes, you may use metal bits to drill plastic. If I may offer, depending on hole size...If large diameter, drill a small pilot hole through, then increase the size a couple times until you get to the required size. It will be a much cleaner hole and the bit wont pull through the plastic.

Metal drill bits can be used for a variety of use. Start with a small dia first so that you are sure of your centre point for a big dia hole.

Take your time to be sure of the location where you want the hole drilled, then set a punch to mark the hole before drilling.

Goodluck on whatever you are drilling.
