Touratech above clocks GPS mount for Versys '10-'14

Hi Fellow Versys owners,

Can anyone give me feedback on the over-the-clocks GPS mount for a 10-14 Versys?

Touratech seem to be the only company making them. I reached out to Motoworks but they have no intention of designing one, siting space issues and vibration. I found a fairly simple design online but it seems like a local Thai company makes them and they don't sell online.

So, if you have the Touratech one, have you had any issues with vibration? Would you recommend it? Do you know of any other options?

I'd just like to make it clear I am after a mount that is above the instruments, not attached to the handlebar or riser.

Regards,
Joseph

I have the SW-Motech one that attaches to the handle bars on my '10 and had an over the clocks GPS mount on my previous '08. The SW-Motech mount works well but slightly interferes with my tank bag when the GPS is attached. The nice feature of it is, is that it easily slides on and off the pad attached to the bars. IMO the over the clocks mounting position is nicer looking but both make the GPS screen equally visible. The over the gauges mount was much harder and more time consuming to get the GPS installed and plugged in - the only downside to it.

I have my Garmin 590LM mounted to the handlebars just over the head bolts.

I have thought about mounting it above the instruments to the Madstad screen - but there is way too much vibration. I have already killed a Garmin VIRB by mounting it on the Madstad bracket and I don't want to kill the GPS. YMMV

I have the Touratech over gauges mount on a 13'

I like it. Vibration is not that bad. I hardly notice it. From time to time I hit a bump and my Garmin Montana screen flips. I did have to do some sawing and drilling on the mount to fit with my Zero Gravity touring windshield mounted in a high position.

Thanks Fastoman but your Versys is not a '10-'14 so it's a different mount system.
