Will the SW-Motech Center Stand work on an '08?

Running through all of the mods I could do for the Versys, and one thing that needs addressed is "roadside maintenance" - say, in the event you have a flat. Every bike i've had up to this point had a center stand (or i added one), but i seem to be coming up short for any solution on a 2008 versys.

I cam across the SW-Motech one on Twisted Throttle (http://www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-mo...FVU6gQodn-4HNg) but it says '09-'14. Just curious if this would fit on a 2008 or are there some fiddly bits that they changed that could make or break fitment?

I don't have one but...
A buddy of mine built his own out of a couple pieces of PVC pipe, and it works beautifully, and weighs much less than a centerstand.

Having had both an '08 and an '09 at the same time, I can't think of ANY differences in that area...!

I'd email Twisted Throttle and ask. Their tech people are pretty good and if they give you the wrong advice, you have it in writing.

Aww, damn it..

"Hello,

Unfortunately this will not fit the 2008 model, this has been confirmed by the manufacturer. They have not made a center stand for the earlier model.

Regards,
Angela
