Different color for Versys...

I got a 09 Green Versys... I was just wondering if anyone know of a way to change "Color" on a motorcycle...

I love the "Green", just thinking of trying another color... I would like my bike not to be so easily recognized... Especially in the canyons...

I got a quote from local shop for $720 to paint the whole bike. Just wondering if there is another cheaper way to do this... Some kind of decal or something... If I don't like it, I can always take it off and back to original color.

So far, this is what I can find... 3M carbon fiber vinyl...

http://www.carbonfibergear.com/direc...on-fiber-vinyl

Thanks in advance...

Decal wise I've also only seen the carbon fiber decals. It looks awesome granted it was on a speed tripple but none the less

Hope the link below helps or try looking at way to reduce the green effect by using decal.

I like the idea of vinyl appliqués. You could use them like visor tear-offs... be one color going into the canyon and another coming out...

sorry, disregard that question.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

You could find someone who wanted to trade parts with you. It's not a major operation: fender, 2 front fairings, tank and rear side panels. No paint and no mess.

I've always thought that fake Carbon Fiber was lame IMHO. Either you have CF or you don't. Kinda makes you look like a poser. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Yeah, decals would suck. $720 to paint is reasonable, I figured I would have to charge about $500 to do it in my garage, a proper job with automotive enamels. My favorite is Dupont Centari. I had over $100 in paint to do mine, it was a green one. Never looking back, just love it.
