BMW Seat Mod Question

Question for anyone that has modded the BMW 1150RT seat to fit the Versys:

Does this mod set you any further forward or back compared to the stock seat?

I'm pretty sure I sit farther back; it's definitely taller. It's been over 5 years since I made the change, so I don't remember the stock seat very well.

It depends on how you build it. Others have cut the stock seat in half and kept the passenger portion. (First photo)

I made mine convertible. I can add my passenger seat in place of the rear plate if my wife wants to go for a ride. We did a 26 state trip, California to Florida and back, on this seat configuration. (Second photo)
