Simple Green

Quick, easy question.

When people refer to Simple Green, which type do you mean:

1)Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner

or

2) Pro Series Simple Green MAX (cleaner and degreaser)?

It might be a bit of a stupid question, but if nobody uses the all purpose cleaner, I don't want to put it all over my bike

The degreaser seems like the obvious answer, but everybody always says "Simple Green", so I thought I'd be safe and ask .

Thanks!

Agreed, but I am still wondering what type of Simple Green to get.

I dare don't put any chemicals on my aluminum parts

All Purpose Cleaner use it on everything (put some in a bucket and fill with water, probably 1:30-40 dilution) and never had any problems with aluminum wheels or engine parts. Read the literature, it's not a corrosive cleaner.

Thanks for the reply Gustavo. When I replied to the previous post about not putting chemicals on, I meant spraying straight Simple Green on my aluminum. I hadn't used it before and didn't realize the dilution ratio was so high. Based on the responses from you and numerous other people in different threads, it sounds like it's a safe product to use

Aluminum - Is it safe to use Simple Green® on aluminum?
When used with caution and according to the instructions, Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner has been safely and successfully used to clean aluminum. Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner, Crystal Simple Green® Cleaner/Degreaser, Simple Green Pressure Washer Concentrates, and Pro Series™ Simple Green® Automotive Cleaner have been used on aircraft, automotive, industrial and consumer aluminum items for over 20 years. However, caution and common sense must be used: aluminum is a soft metal that easily corrodes with unprotected exposure to water. The aqueous-base and alkalinity of Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner can accelerate the corrosion process. Therefore, contact times for unprotected or unpainted aluminum surfaces should be kept as brief as the job will allow - never for more than 10 minutes. Large cleaning jobs should be conducted in smaller-area stages to achieve lower contact time. Rinsing after cleaning should always be extremely thorough - paying special attention to flush out cracks and crevices to remove all Simple Green® product residues. Unfinished, uncoated or unpainted aluminum cleaned with Simple Green products should receive some sort of protectant after cleaning to prevent oxidation. "

The only reason I asked is because there has been some discussion on it:

I use Simple Green all the time in a Sprayer 50/50 with water. Works great and does not affect the Aluminum or Painted surfaces. I have been doing this for years, on all colors and brands of bikes without any bad results. Even on Dirt bikes where there is plenty of Raw aluminum.
