Michelin PR3 Tread Depth???

Hopefully this is an easy question for someone to answer. I seem to have lost my note on the initial tread depth (to the wear bar) on my PR3's.

My big trip this fall is only a month away and I wanted to see what precentage of tread I have left.

If anyone knows the depth, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Mitch

I don't know the number right off, but I just bought a set of PR3s (PR4s are backordered). I can measure tonight and let you know.

If it helps at all with estimating tire life, I ran two sets of PR3s on my V back to back (I'm on PR4s now) Both sets gave me just over 17,000 kms (10,625 mi) each. At this point the tires were getting to or near the wear bars.

Always trust your cape.

I only have about 4-5,000 on them but I want to be ready for a 6,000 mile trip.

The options are swap them before we leave, call ahead and get new ones mid trip, or make the full trip on them.

I know my riding buddy is going with option 1 so that pretty much narrows my options down to 1 or 3.

I don't mind throwing away a little tread life for the confidence of starting the trip with fresh rubber.

Thanks for the replies and I'll see what depth adurbin can get for me.

Prolly apples and oranges but.....I got 12,300 miles on pr2s on a 620 lb. bike. I hear pr3 is better. This was gentle highway miles, steady speed easy braking and take off, not real excitin'.
