Question about Axio tail/tank bag

I think this are very cool looking, but thought I might see if any of you guys/gals are using these on your Vs. Are they waterproof/rainproof?

I am wait til the end of the month to order the tail bag...because the tail bag is unavailable anywhere including the manufacturer.
Everything I have read from those that own one say they stay dry inside.

BTO Sports.com say that they should be able to start delivering end of May, 2010, and the reason none are available anywhere is because rumor has it AXIO is updating the design.

Only time will tell BUT...I WANT ONE!!!!!!!

axio bag shots

I modified the front straps with quick release buckles to go under the tail rather than just the seat, so the attachment points would stay and could also be used with a motofizz camping seat bag. But here is the axio bag. It is not waterproof on the zips in a downpour.

Is that enough pic's for ya'? If you want more check out my flickr page. The Axio tail bag is not waterproof. Items inside will get damp but that is about it. You could buy a bigger tail bag for less maybe even waterproof, but it wouldn't look as good. Over all I'm satisfied with the tail bag. It provides quick access to items that I don't feel the need to secure in my sidebags.

After doing a quick google product search I've found a few retailers that have it in stock. Most of them seem to only have matte black and one of them had carbon fiber.

After emailing NewEnough.com regarding the Axio tail bag, I received the following interesting response:
====
The "redesign" is not something we have heard about until your email, so
that's news to us.

This tail bag's ETA has been getting pushed out another 2 weeks ever
since about Nov of 2009, it's been ridiculous. So the ETA at this time
is mid-June, but, if it goes the way it's been going since November when
mid-June comes around it will say late June and so on.

I have zero faith in this ETA so please don't hold me to it, sorry for
the lack on information.

Stagehand38 click on the highlighted "google product search" and it will open a new tab with the shopping search results for "axio tail bag". From there check the results to see which sites have it in stock.

I have a black Axio on mine. Got it from New Enough last year. As to water, it isn't waterproof, but it does come with a rain cover, as well as a bungee net to hold additional items on the top of the bag, such as a spare helmet. Great bag and worth every penny, IMO...
