Almost through break-in.........

Just passed the 850 mile mark and I'm 150 miles away from finally exceeding 6k rpm! So far I really like this bike- especially after adjusting the headlight where it actually is in the right place for me.
So I have a question for you guys- where is the V "sweet spot" for acceleration? This bike pulls so strong from 3-5 k, does that continue above 6k or is most of the "oomph" down low?
It seems to be smoothing out more and more- I'm really pleased with the V so far.

6k is an indicated 77-79 mph on mine- which, according to everything I've read, is probably close to 10% off so actually 70-75 mph- which here in Dallas basically is the "slow-lane" speed on some of the highways............

I find that the V smooths out as soon as you get near 5k, that is where the fun starts. It pulls well between 6k-9k.

Break in Period

IMHO the Kawasaki "Break-in" period is little more than a legal safety net. It allows you to get used to bike without killing yourself (insert ZX-10R here.)
Go ahead, take 'er up to 6k. She'll hold.

I just completed the breakin now I can rev her right out and boy is that ever fun to do, gottaske sure I don't run outta road, goin pretty fast. A surprising bike, in the past I sure would not have believed a 650 could have this much go! Outstanding engine for street riding.
