Looking for suggestions/ options

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a Naked road bike and would like your opinion on a few questions I have. I'm 6'4'' at 205lbs, 50 years old and have ridden and raced motocross most of my life. I just sold my YZ450F mainly because of time to get to a riding area. I am drawn to the Versys for it's seat height and look of a dirt bike.(tall suspension) What I'm not crazy about is the stepped seat and the fairing light assembly attached to the tank. I like the look more of the er-6n front end.
My questions would be, what are my options? Are there any kits available to change the look a little on the Versys? Would a er-6n light assembly and tank fit on a Versys? Has anyone seen a seat that's not stepped where one could slide back? Thanks for any ideas you might have. The bike looks like a lot of fun to ride and it my be fine just the way it is but, I was just seeing what options there are.

Thanks,
Buz

Hi Buz

If you get a chance maybe test ride both the Versy and er-6n first and then you will have a good idea of what youreally want.

Some guys on here modified their front ends to the er-6n (streetfighter style). As far as the seat, I doubt you can remove the step unless you raise the foam in the front of the seat to match the back.

Look here to see the modified bikes

I took the V form the show room without even testing it. Just paid the $ and got it sent over to my place. Just love the V the way she is. Lowered it and got the seat done and I am all fine now.

Take a test ride and you will love the V.

Look is secondary to performance.

Sounds like you want a specialty bike, I would ride as many different machines as you can before you buy the Versys. It is the best all rounder; there are better bikes out their for dirt, racing, etc. You could easily spend as much modifying the Versys as you would to get what you wanted in the first place.
