My V has had one hell of day, she has had a number of performance enhancing upgrades. First off, I had new tires put on her, Michelin Power Pilots, the Dunlops were just about at the wear bands. These tires are superior to the stock rubber. Furthermore I added a SunStar 44T sproket to the rear, and what a diference it has made. The bike no longer jumps in 1st gear, and its low speed controllability has improved. Freeway speeds are no longer a vibration filled affair, in all gears, there has been a 500rpm reduction in the engine to reach certain speeds.
In addition, V recieved a lowering kit/kickstand treatment, WHAT A DIFFERNCE, I have a 30 inch inseam, and it always felt the V was top heavy. No longer, the bike has now, reached Nirvana, total perfection. After I got the bike back I did a 150 mile test ride,
. It was the best experience since I had the V, I rode in complete comfort.
I would like to thank the guys over at MotoDC here in Burbank, who did all the above work including an oil change, for a great price. If any of you SoCal guys need work done on any of your bikes, look up Mike he does great work for a very fair price. Both he and his mechanic Chaz are factory trained, and they can do anything from oil changes to major overhauls. Anyway that was my May 15 2010. My .02 GV09
