500 does seem high. Please do check ebay, I saw nearly a whole bike parted out on there a few days ago and i'm sure you can score a steal.

Take it off and carry to a radiator shop. They can likely repair it for a lot less.

2009+ Ninja 650R and ER6 have the same radiator as on the Versys. Previous models up to 2008 have a smaller radiator.

New rad for $287 USD including shipping to USA: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KAWASAKI-ER6-F...item5ad91ebc39

You just convinced me to order one. I have thought about doing the Lowes gutter guard solution, but I think it looks pretty crappy. And I'm not a fan of the Beowulf guard with "Versys" plastered on it...little garish for me. Besides, love going to Tuesday Bike night and playing the "is that a Ducati?" game.
I thing I'm going to go with this one. Seen it on a friends V. Very classy and a quality piece.

I just installed the black EvoTech guard, it really looks good, like it is part of the bike not an add on. It's pretty thick so it should provide good protection. Install took a few minutes. And the guy selling them on ebay seems pretty good too, I got it in 2 days!

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have one listed at the moment and not available through his ebay store. Guess you guys all beat me to it! Maybe he will get back on the ball tomorrow. J.

You can get them directly from Evotech in the UK. Roughly the same price as the E-Bay seller. ($72.00 shipped)

A simple cheap wire mesh will also do the job

Click here to see how to install the Evotech Radiator Grille Cover.

Easy install and does look like a factory part. Very well made.
