Question Best Way Through LA

Not sure this belongs here and only the LA riders can help, but I'll take advise from all you great V riders.
Here's the gig...My son and I are heading to Temecula, Ca on Friday 6-4. starting from Northern Ca to attend MotoAdventures dirt riding school. So my question is:

What is the best time to hit LA to miss/avoid/ traffic? Or am I insane? Here is what yahoo maps suggest
http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=35....0CA%2C%2092590

Thanks a gazzilion gentlemen...Flying? Not an option, we're picking up a Suzi drz on our way home and maybe another V...

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

By riding out at the right time of day i make it from norwalk to san leandro about 400 miles in 5 hours going there and 5 hrs 15min coming back in the rain. Not exactly doing the speed limit but no traffic

I'd go the route Zilt mentioned, and stay out of downtown LA.

I was going to say through Denver...
The only time I have been there I came south on I5 and went around it to I10 to Phoenix. It was in June of last year and 40 miles north of there it was pouring rain with freeze warnings. I had my heated jacket and gloves on when I rode around L.A. in June.

I would recommend Arizona!

Japanese scientists have created a camera with such a fast shutter speed they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut.
