It does not sound bad and is about what I do... usually... if I'm not late...

No, seriously, it is what I do. Lane splitting is dangerous as hell no matter how you drive.

The best way is to tag behind a HD rolling thunder bike (I just hope you did not forget your earplugs!)

Understatement of the year:

"If a car rear-ends a car, it's a bumper that gets broken. If a car rear-ends a motorcyclist, it could be a leg that gets broken."

Lane splitting for motorcycle should be acceptable everywhere ... if a smaller vehicle can pass a larger vehicle then it should be able to do so; simple as that.
