Is this a good deal?

Hi All-

Looking at used 08 from Stealership:
Green
1700 miles
kawasaki (tiny) rear case
2-seats (stock and versys)
has tiny windshield fairing thing
has power cable ran

Bike has been gently over on its site.
Very minor scratches on left side engine case, and bar end. Over all you could not tell it was used bike except for a little dust on the wheels. Clean machine.
Stealer says he is in it $5200, wants $5500 . $6300 out the door once the government rapes me.

This is the best deal after hours of haggling.
What do you think?
I have searched Craigslist and I cannot find anything within 3 states.

I think you could get a new 09 for 6300 out the door I would pass on this deal unless it came down to 5200 out the door. I would never beleve the dealer when they say what they have into a bike.

State taxes and license fees make a huge difference from place to place. Most dealerships up here are willing to go 6000 +setup ect. One issue is that there are no 2010 around. Most of them have been sold. Hell, Suzuki is not even importing 2010's. There is also the color issue. Everyone has blue (hate it)
This bike also the add ons to consider as well which are costs. I will admit this is not a great year to buy since there is not a lot of new inventory to drive the price down. While I think I would be paying too much, this is the best deal in my area.

You might look into shipping a bike I've seen about $500 across the country and you would save state sells tax if you buy it on the internet if the seller does not have a store front in your home state. My uncle did this and saved thousands, He bought a new cruser in the winter from a dealer on the east coast and had it shipped to AZ. Ask around on the forum for good and bad dealers... good luck. I payed $7099 out the door for a new 09 at the end of 08, now that the 2010 is out I've seen that drop.
