2015 650 LT purchasers....your price?

I'm getting quoted a purchase price about $600+ OVER MSRP on the 650 LT right now....are others seeing that much markup over the MSRP?

Is that OTD? Or before tax, tag, title, doc fees, destination fee, setup fee, etc.?

I was quoted 9500. That includes all the fees, destination charges, led light bar and installation.

Based on the "gently used" market, that is an outrageous price. I realize prices and the market vary by location, and comparing used prices to new is not an "apple to apple" comparison. Having said that, have you considered a "fly and buy" option where you fly to a better market location and ride back? Why not make it an adventure?!

I paid msrp plus tax. Did not have to pay freight and delivery. Bought in February and in Canada. Don't know if that helps or not.

The dealer where I bought my V1K is about $1350 below sticker on the 2015 LT models.

Prices are inflated in Florida. $10,400 out the door with mine. Also purchased the hard top case.

OTD prices in the Seattle area are always at the high end of the scale for some reason. Fly and drive to Arizona would save you quite a bit. Having said that I think I paid MSRP for my new 2011 but the devil is in the details with all the add ons.

Seattle prices do run higher than average and I think that there is some supply and demand going on. Very popular bike, strong demand, and not much inventory in part because of the shipping bottleneck. Took 6 weeks for mine to show up. Without the panniers no less. They'll attach them at some unspecified time when THEYre in stock.

I'll work on some adjustments. But I also know I might pay a premium to secure a great bike now...playing "hardball" or trying to bail to a different dealership etc might leave me Versys-less until July 4th the way orders are stacking up

So my $5150 new used price for 6 mos old 2012 (at Kelly Blue Book) was NOT such a bad deal after all? That's how I could afford all the doo-dads

If I just wanted that new bike smell, couldn't I hang one of those little Evergreen fresheners inside my helmet?

Got a clarification, feeling a bit of relief, they had provided me the wrong numbers in the quote, they were including fees, etc., in the base price quote. They are indeed basing everything on the Kawasaki MSRP. Pictures tomorrow afternoon after I take delivery.

check cycletrader.com There are tons of bikes with ZERO miles on them for great prices because they're leftovers. Theres still 2009s with 1 mile on them for under 5 grand!

Austin, TX

Port Richey, FL

Ledgewood, NJ

And those are just the 2009's.

that Austin TX unit is strange.. New tires, debadged, and a sticker on the swingarm. It's filthy dirty, but only 8 miles... hmm

And those are just the 2009's.
Cycle Trader is dealers mostly, so those ARE NOT otd prices and expect $2k to $3k tacked on top. I always saw a Husky 650 Strada for $5K new and thought that was a great deal until i called the $5k new 2014 Vs. 650 Dealer in CA for a $9500 otd price tag! Avoid dealers unless you need a financing special they have going.

I have been burned buying used before. Thought about buying a '12, but ultimately fell in love with the 15 went I saw it, THEN rode it. Just felt worth the money to me.
