Nice. Been thinking about getting a winter place in Florida to extend both my wife's and my hobbies. Lived in Daytona Beach in the early 80s, and Orlando through the mid 90s.

Be careful down there. That's where I just came from. The average life of a full time motorcyclist in FL is 2 years! They get caught between the blue hairs and high schoolers from out of state. In fact I quit riding most of the time while I was there. I'd see a HD or crotch rocket wreck weekly it seems. AARP keeps their members licenses, and they will plow through motorcycles without stopping or even looking back. It would not be so bad if THEY were riding motorcycles instead of Crown Vics.

Edit: Oh, you are a Gator fan, ha ha.

Kawdog -- I ride the boondocks Northwest of Gainesville. Not a whole lotta cars. Running out of gas or hitting a deer are my biggest fears.

Meh, you couldn't get me to live in a place where it's 75dF right now and even less so once summer gets here. I've been riding year round here for 20 years. I like winter (and spring and fall). Not a fan of summer...

You can see from my photos that there are places with little traffic in Florida. Of course you have to stay away from the coastline.

When I lived in Daytona Beach, we would stay away from the "tourist" roads. Stick to the secondary roads when riding around.
