It's good bye for now

Well I sold my 2013 ABS Versys 650. It was finally picked up yesterday as it is going interstate.
It's always a bit sad when you sell a bike. For now I will be sticking with my Honda Crossrunner. Next year. I'll be looking to move to the V 1000. So I hope you don't mind me hanging around on this forum. For some reason the American forums are always more fun. This one reminds me very much of the Suzuki VX800 forum I was on years ago. The VX was also a very reliable machine, so there was always other things to talk about.

Ride safe

Eddie

I had a VX800. As I recall, that preceded the modern internet. Seems I was blown away by my dual floppy disc model that connected to nothing back then. They must have had a good run. IIRC, I got rid of mine in '97. I'm sure I had dial up and bulletin boards by then.

Nice, somebody got a brand new, better than deluxe 650cc Supermoto Touring machine!

Guys selling 650's going up don't realize they may be back again. The BMW 650 chain gang forum is filled with previous owners of all the bigger BMW and other big bikes. The Vs. 650 is special and have done the best vertical twin innovation since the Yamaha RD350. If you can hang onto more than the Vs. 650 around corners, good luck. The big bikes straight away start their power stroke at 80mph: good way to loose your license.

Personally, only a few bikes are good torque middle range tuned. The big guys can out-top end them, but by the time they get up to speed, the race is over (except on expressways.)

Good luck and be safe above all else! (You had the best of the best models!!)
