2015 Versys 1000 Lowering Kit

Does anyone know if the design of the rear shock has changed any on the 2015 V1K model?

I think I'll be needing a lowering link. I found one here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lust-Racing-...82c53b&vxp=mtr

Just wondering if anyone knows a reason why it wouldn't work on the latest model?

The 2015 has changed the system for adjusting pre-load. The old collar at the top of the shock tower has been replaced with a hand-turned knob. Having said that, fromm what I see in pictures, the mounting point for the lower end of the shock looks the same, and should likely accommodate Speedy's lowering link.

One of Speedy's items that won't fit anymore is the highway peg mounts. I noticed on the 3rd Gen model that the new fairing covers the section of frame where the brackets are currently mounted on my 1st Gen.

Always trust your cape.

Hi Garry,

Yes, I will look into it once I can get a hold of the bike.

Thank you,
Speedy

Hi Speedy,
with the 2015 Versys 1000 coming to the US are you planning on making a
lowering link for the rear suspension?
Kind regards
Garry

Just to clarify, suspension on 2015 Versys 650 is completely different from 2015 Versys 1000.
As for the new 2015 Versys 650, there will be a new lowering kit, custom designed to fit it coming soon.

Thanks,
Speedy
