How Rude!

I had to walk out to the garage to grab a ladder and it's COLD, 15 degs F cold. Both bike are huddled in the corner and seem to be saying "No, No Ride Today...please" But I will have to run up to the gas station and top off the tanks after adding stabilizer. I'll get them up on the lifts and hook up the battery conditioners and dream of rides to come next year. Winter got here early and with a vengeance this year. Due to illness I didn't even get a chance to do a major clean up.

So you guys in warmer lands ride hard and safe and think of us poor souls in the Great Frozen North.

Or was that look THEN leap?

It's 14 degrees here in central Maine this morning. Both Maine bikes are already in hibernation. Soon it will be time to head back to San Antonio, unwrap the two Texas bikes and go riding. Yes, I know it's tough, but someone has to do it.

36 when I left for work here in NY. Let the V warm up all the way, get the Oxfords pumping out some good heat and off we go!

OK But I can almost see the North Pole from here. Seems that way to a transplanted Florida boy anyway. Anything below 35 belongs in the fridge!

He may mean, like I have, insurance that is not in full force in winter as you can't ride and the rate drops a good bit in the off months. I can still ride and be covered on a few nice days (no more than 5 a month) but I save about $25.00 on collision monthly. My comp is in full force year round.

Cold in SoMo but we'll get some occasional riding days through the winter.

I get through these months by re-watching my riding videos from the past few years. And planing next years rides.

I think think i'll scam a January trip south to "rent 'n ride".

Thinking maybe Costa Rica.

100 countries or bust...80 so far.
Rides: Ecuador, Haiti, Laos, Sri Lanka, Tibet & Vietnam

I ride when the ground is dry. But eventually i know that the roads will fill up with salt, which is the only reason i wont ride

Now that i finally got something heated for my torso the colder weather is even more tolerable. I rode my shieldless vulcan regularly in the 20s last winter with only the battery heated gloves

I refuse to spend the time and resources to winterize just to get a couple seasonally freakish days ruin it for me.
