Versys 2010 Price

Has anyone gotten a price quote on the 2010 V yet?

My local (New York State) dealer quoted me $7000 OTD (w/o sales tax) which sounds pretty reasonable to me given the $7600 MSRP and that they usually tack on an additional several hundred “Destination Charge”. He also said he’ll give me the 3 Year “Kawasaki Good Times Protection Plan” extended warrantee for an additional $375 (at the time I didn’t know there was a 4 Year available too but I do intend to consider that).

I paid $6999 OTD for my 09 Versys in July, 2009... I think $7000 for 2010 is a good price... That's just me...

My local dealer wants $7,599. But with taxes it's an additional 7%. Not sure if the dealer will also want a BS fee.

Yup, 7599 is MSRP, apparently. Your dealers are going to take some off, unless you are trading in.

HA! That's great...made me laugh.

Truly makes the ER 6n a bargain at 6299! But, that is not a touring bike by any means.
Doesn't have the suspension either. You may get what you pay for, but you never get what you don't pay for it seems to me.

Seems like a good price. I paid just under $7100 for my 2008 including NY tax and reg fees. BTW that extended warranty price isn't bad either, but you can do better on ebay. I picked up an additional 24 month warranty on ebay for under $200. Confirmed it with Kawi it was all up and up and is in effect today.

Wondering where you got your extended warranty from? Thanks.

Here is an example of one, two years for $229. Just search around and READ it one to make sure it is for your bike, the warranty will vary based on engine size, so do not buy one for the wrong engine size. Like I said, when I got mine it was less than $200, but even this one at $229 for two years isn't bad at all:

Up here in Canada the price is $8999. For an all black 2010, but j have not seen one in dealers showroom yet. I am wondering if I should grab one of their leftover 09's instead for $7499? Is thereuch of s difference to justify the extra expense of the 2010? I don't think so at this point.

Element,

Nope, no trade-in... It’s a straight $7000

Thanks

FWIW This dealer has a couple of 2009’s left (a blue & a green) that he quoted me $5600 OTD (w/o sales tax).

Thanks for the heads-up on the warrantee. I see where the 4-year is going for $375 on eBay. If my dealer wont at least come close to that I’ll get it online

My dealer didn't, not even close at all, if he were at least in the same ballpark I would have paid a bit more to give him the business, but he was almost DOUBLE what I got on ebay.

At the last bike show here in Toronto a new 2009 could be got for $7,200.00. Didn't get a price on the 2010 and there were none at the show. I'm sure as spring approaches you could get the price even lower - that's my strategy.

I would think the reverse, now is the time to buy. Bad economy, fewer buyers, etc. Come spring, maybe more buyers, maybe a better economy, less reason to deal. Dealers would rather see bikes move now then to sit on them a few more months and hope they sell.
