2015 Versys 1000 US Dealer Arrival Date Thread

I have searched the Web for any trinket of information regarding the expected arrival date of the 2015 V-1000's in US dealers and have been unsuccessful.

I had a few hours to kill yesterday so I visited two different Kawasaki dealers in the Orlando Florida region just to ping the Sales Staff to see if there were any rumors, or speculation, as to when the new 2015's would hit their loading docks. Nothing to report I am sorry.

Accordingly, I am starting this thread as a repository for information regarding the 1000's arrival date in US Stores. If any member of the Versys Army happens to come across some good information please post it up here.

Thanks to all

The MF'r in Cape Canaveral

I wonder why it took Kawasaki so long to bring the 1000 to the US market. They have sold them in Canada for some time where the US is such a larger population and market than here.

hmmm..

I have two theories

1) Didnít want to cut into Ninja 1000 sales
2) A shift in the motorcycle market here in the USDM. (Look at all the bikes that are now out/will be out soon that compare with the V1000.)

I was at MY dealer yesterday and they were shocked when I ask if they'd seen the new 2015 Versys 650 and showed them the photos. They had no idea there was a redesign in the works. He said he'd even ordered an 2015 and didn't know it was changed as the colors were the same.

Or was that look THEN leap?

I live at the foot of Deals Gap and I'm going to Orlando for the show!!
How ironic....
Be safe up here, the weather is suppose to be good while you here. Thursday should be the only iffy day.
Watch for the cops, the pirate parade & the leaf lookers.

I just hope Kenny Wheeler has a 190/55x17 tire in stock in case I go bald like I did last time I was thru there in the Spring! "The Foot of Deals Gap" sounds very Robbinsville to me......

And I hope to be breaking in A Versys 1000 sometime soon up there. If Kawasaki puts on heated grips (as shown in one of the photo's I have seen) I will be up there much sooner!!!

As stated by tmclean; SAD. I know this discussion point can make up a thread of its own but it is very disappointing that the majority of sales personnel that I have come across in the last 4 years have no idea about their own product they are selling. It erodes any trust I have in them. And it is no different when I meet a mechanic that does not truly understand the bike either. I will shut up now and impatiently wait for the 2015's to hit the streets!!!

Too small? What do you need? A Steamer Trunk? Maybe a U-Haul chase truck?

I'd like to see that on a Versys and not a FJR Joe. I tested a 47 on my bike and it look very large indeed. Snapped right on the the SW mounting plate.

Outrageous! It's a nice bike but not THAT nice, I don't care if it is a 1000 it's pushing into BMW territory now.
