Not crazy about the headlights. Looks like a scooter...

But good to know we're still in business!

I like it, not bad. I am more than happy with my 2014 but the dual headlights look ok and it also looks like a new way to mount the windshields so the old ones will not fit new models going forward.

I do love the white. I'm shopping for a white 2013 right now.

I like it. Then I start thinking about how long it took to get my 2011 just how I wanted it; and I like it less...

Looks like a true sportbike now, good, bad, or different. If it runs only one headlight when on low beam, then I don't like it.

I like that they are using the same bags as the ninja 1000. Thinking about picking up a 2014 at a hopefully great price to get the ABS and cool green color.

People will be calling this new Versys a crotch rocket for sure.

I spy... accessories!
Gear Indicator
12V Socket
Fog Lights Switch
Lower mounted Engine Crash pads

I like really like the Pillion grab handle as they look like they combine mounts for the rear touring luggage boxes. But the luggage boxes a bit thin (22lt each?) and probably more designed for the commuter rather than touring.

Yeah, it looks pretty cool... Chassis appears to be basically unchanged, but it does have the nice ER-6 style handlebar clamp. I like the instument cluster. It now has a 'check engine' symbol lamp on tachometer. Red line is reduced to 10,000 RPM.

Hopefully that gear indicator will come as an accessory for cheaper than the aftermarket options. Doubtful, but oh well. It looks like all of that stuff would bolt on if you wanted to put the work into it.

It's almost identical to the look of the FJ-09, but with less HP....

Alass the Versys pug character has gone the way of traditional Japanese body lines. Does it look good - yes. Is it unique anymore - no. The V has joined the ranks of what most consumer sport bikes looks like and will probably be awarded with increased sales in the younger rider category. I for one am not a fan and I think the classic look of the 1st and 2nd gen 650s will prevail and enhance value.

The brother and I took ours out yesterday for 40 mile ride, still love riding the Versys,
it will be hard for Kawasaki to mess up such a great bike!

all of the changes are just cosmetics.

the powerplant remains the same, the frame and swingarm, tyres etc mostly remains the same. so the fun are pretty much same except for the looks.

how do i see this new iteration of the versys? the same way when 2010s model was introduced to replace the 1st gen versys. it is a breath of fresh air - but very much the same bike after all.

Current : Maroon 2011.
- Fender Extender - Radiator Guard - 19mm Nissin radial master - Nissin 4-pot caliper - SS brake lines - Osram Hyper 65W both low/high beam - LED 30w aux floodlights & 3w DRLs - Rear Hugger - Givi crash guards - Yoshimura TRC Carbon - Dynojet PC5 - Scottoiler - R1 shock with Ohlins 14.2 kg/mm spring - Imitation Givi Windshield - Rear Givi rack with 24ltr Givi top box - Bosch dual tones - Z800 stock mirrors.

Up next :
- Protaper SE ATV Low - PIAA Platinum low

I basically like the front end treatment and noticed that it now uses Nissin calipers. Still 2 piston? Also noticed that it would appear that the same seat that most have complained about might still be in use?? Let's talk attimoratization? They've made so... many of those seats over 8 model years. Did I spot a gear indicator on right of the dash?
