Weekend ride

750 km to meet up with friends and go for a ride

map here http://tinyurl.com/mrp2ta7

Breakfast at Ebor

Photo at Armidale

"Irish Town" just outside of Walcha

Walking around Walcha while waiting for my friends saw these 2 beauties

My friends turned up so we had lunch and then headed for the fun part of the ride

Oxley Highway, one of the best riding roads in Australia. Featuring non stop 45 kms of fun and challenging corners with some open straights for good measure

Versys at Gingers Creek

Sue

We stopped for a well earned drink at Long Flat then headed for Wauchope for the night. A great feed was had at the Chinese at the Star Hotel and then a walk and off to bed.

Good morning Wauchope

This morning we headed to the bike Museum at Nabiac

The blue Hayabusa is owned by Tex, his dog Bundy is the only dog allowed to ride on the fuel tank of a motorcycle. Bundy has done thousands of km on motorcycle and is also the fastest dog on a motorcycle 283 km/h on the Hayabusa at Phillip Island. Their story is here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tex-B...42350032489815

Then we said goodbye and I headed for home.

Great photos and a spectacular looking museum. But I do have one small question. When naming towns do you Aussies pick letters out of a bag and put them in random order to come up with names? No insult meant - you have some great place names.

Don't know I wasn't around in the 1700 - 1800's when towns were being named lol
