Seahorse 630

I've searched the site a few times and it looks like there are a couple different top cases that people are using.

The Pelican / Storm 1450 and 2600 are pretty common but I think I'll stick with the Seahorse due to cost.

I've seen a few 540's and a few 720's and out of that I'd lean toward the 720.

However, They also offer a 630. It will be installed on an OEM (used) rack. I'd like to put a couple hooks on the lid so I can use a bungee net for my tent, and extra helmet, etc.

Has anyone had their hands on a 630?

Thanks,

Mitch

Not the 650 but I have the next smaller size (Seahorse 520) as a topbox on my DR using it like you describe. mounted 4 small u-bolts in the lid and tie my tent, chair etc. to the top. works great, it's a sturdy case.

I've never seen a 630, but the picture on fuerte cases.com makes it look like it has way more reinforcement than the 720. My experience with the 720 is that it is kinda floppy.

Is the 630 any better? I'd bail on the extra few inches of capacity if it was a bit more solid...

I have been looking at the seahorse 720's for side bags. Has anyone figured a quick release latch for them to facilitate taking them off and into the motel room at night?
