My bike fell over because the kickstand melted into the hot blacktop.
I dont know how long it was on it's side.
The oil and water levels look ok. What should I look for before trying to start it?

Yes I will change my parking spots and get a kickstand puck. It's hot here today.

Other than minor scratches, there's probably nothing wrong at all. If it's been sitting right-side up for a bit now, it's probably fine to start and ride. The only thing I could think of is maybe fuel or oil getting to somewhere they shouldn't. The first week I had my bike, I lost balance stopping in a parking lot and the bike ended up on its side. Started back up without any hesitation.

I also highly recommend the Motowerk flatfoot:

Also check the battery. If it's not a sealed type, you may have lost fluid.
The bike is usually ok after a zero-speed drop - too much experience! DAMHIK........

Garage
Look for a kickstand puck at your local shop. A soda can will work in a pinch.

Well, it looks like everything turned out ok. For things going badly it went pretty good.

One thing. It did seem like it took longer for my oil light to go out then usual. Maybe 5-6 seconds. Just long enough for me to think there was a problem. It did set upright for a couple hours before I tried to start it.

It ran fine on my way home and subsequent restarts.

Thanks for the help guys.
