PA-125 Ride

The group I ride with is going up to Gettysburg, PA in a couple of weeks. I'm coming up a couple of days early to visit family and ride PA-125. While I was over that way I was going to tour the Yuengling brewery as well. Are there any other good rides or sights out that way that anyone can think of?

Gold Mine Road from RT. 325 near Tower City to Rt. 443 is a great ride but only 10 miles in one direction. At the south end of Gold Mine Road take Rt. 443 west to the Susquehanna River then go north a short distance on Rt. 322 to Dauphin, Pa. and take Rt. 225 to Rt. 325 back to Tower City.

North of Gettysburg is orchard country where there are lots of great roads. Do some exploring.
Rt. 234 from Arendtsville to Rt. 30.
Rt. 233 from Pine Grove Furnace south to Mont Alto.

Rt. 74 north of Carlisle to the junction of Rt. 75 north to Rt. 333 west to Rt. 103 just outside of Lewistown. Rt. 103 south to Rt. 522 south to Rt. 641 east back to Carlisle.

The Cornwall Iron Furnace is a great place to visit.

To the west of Cornwall is Mt. Gretna which is a good area to ride.

The Yuengling Brewery is a great tour.

Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.

The Latimore Valley road near the EMMR is a short but sweet ride.

The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum is also a neat place IMHO.

Explore and enjoy!

Thanks for the info. I may have to cancel the trip, but will definately do it at some point. My family is spread out across central PA so I just have to take the bike up on one of these trips to see them.
