Talking The black beast returneth!

Six months after putting the fate of my bike into the hands of military contracted movers... I have her back, re-registered, re-insured, and ready to explore South Carolina! I'm taking it slow and easy for now as I work on bringing my skills back up to speed. I plan on taking an MSF course one of these days to reinforce some of the basics and stay out of trouble.

It sure feels good to be riding again though. Pro-tip for storage: Before handing her off, I sprayed a ton of Meguiar's Quik Wax over everything heavily and just let it dry without wiping off. Six months later, the bike had a lot of dust on it but with the help of a couple microfiber towels, it cleaned and buffed right up in no time.

Happy to hit the roads again!

You should take a trip down to Beaufort but going the old roads. The road from Yemassee to Beaufort is lined with Huge Live Oak Trees hanging over the road making a canopy with the branches covered with spanish moss.

I'm interested! The whole area seems like it's got some neat back roads for cruising around on. I'm really enjoying the scenery here so far, despite a few nasty hot days.

I do!

Getting spun-up in the local area here, but should start heading out on missions soon enough. Hoping I get a little time left for some two wheel rides!

When i was younger my grandmother owned a bait & tackle/ corner store. Right at the corner heading toward the public landing just out of Yemassee. Great place to swim put in your boat or picnic. The shop is gone but we still own the property there.
