i've seen pictures of a V with highway pegs mounted to the Motech guards. looked interesting. would probably be a nice option for stretching the legs on long straights but the riding position might look a little silly :P

+1 The ability to spent a few minutes with your legs in a different position does not a cruiser make.

Here's Speedy's highway peg mounts, without crash bars, on my '09.

The SW Motech ones work well w/ their 'skid-plate', if you end up going that route later. The SW skid-plate would NOT work w/ H-B guards.

I use the latter position, ankles on the pegs. Just enough to get a break. And for what it's worth Walter, since you're being so helpful here, I do use the passenger pegs too. Not nearly as comfortable or practical as the highway pegs.

Speedy does ship to Canada, but - like everything else we ship up here - the shipping is pricey. I think he does combine shipping though, so if there are any other bits in his catalouge that you want, buy 'em all and save on shipping.

Always trust your cape.

Unlike some folks on this forum - on the cheap and simple works for me. I see guys here putting other guys down for their choice of gear and how they use it. The V is certainly a nice ride but new it's still a sub 8k motorcycle with a pretty simplistic build, the perfect platform to tinker on and outfit the way you want. Blows my mind everytime I see a reference to that but maybe they don't know any better. Good thinking Sam, nice pegs!
