I payed 6299.00 OTD for a 2009.Check every dealer price within 100 miles and take the lowest price OTD to your local deaier and say can you match or beat the price. If they cannot. Walk out the door and say you will buy from the other dealer. trust me the next day you will get a call from them at that price

Dealer sales are slow during the winter and because of the economy they are even slower. so they need you to buy from them not the other way around. If they say if you buy hear you do not have travel x amount of miles to the other dealer just tell them it is an excuse to get out and ride and miles mean nothing to you

I paid $6300 for my 08 last August.

I would have bought used last year if there were any deals, but all the used bikes last year near me were very close to the cost of a new bike.

The deals I'm seeing on used bikes this year are so good I don't think I'd be looking at new bikes at all.

That's also true, you can probably get a nice farkled, well taken care of, V for less than that new 08...
check out some of the classifieds on this forum, there are good deals in there.

Thanks guys, $6299. OTD for a 2009, that's great info (ammo). I have been looking around and am no hurry to purchase anything as I have too many toys already, but for some reason I keep thinking I need a Versys (LOL), time will tell...Thanks again.

There is some killer deals on barely used ones, but if you need to finance 6k isn't bad for out there. East coast seems to be about 500 cheaper. But who cares go get it and have fun, it's a great ride, by the way red is way faster

6300 OTD for my 09 2 months ago. I also negotiated my 600 mile service for 1/2 cost. I read on here that somebody suggested negotiating Factory farkles at 25 percent of list- good idea I didn't think about that one.

That's right up my alley, I was at AJ Foyt on 45N yesterday, can I ask which dealer you got it at or pm me, thanks.

I am really looking for a new bike however I would consider a like new used one, pawel's bike is just too far away (I am 77008) as I would have to inspect it before purchase, but its a killer deal for someone.

I checked the 3 closest dealers and $6,500 OTD was the best I could do. That included sales tax and fees. Used ones were not to be had around here.

Buddy just bought an '08 w/ 15,000 miles, nicely 'farkled' (Givi cases, Motosport case guards, some of Speedy's stuff, and MORE) for $4200.

You might try searching for Versys on Cycle Trader. I have found some really good deals on new bikes there. Good Luck
