What is it with this bike???

New Versys rider. Have owned more than 50 motorcycles.....

Adds: Givi D410ST windscreen. ktmduals rear rack. Motowerks lowering link and flat foot. Seat Concepts seat cover/foam.

We have several bikes. This one is getting ridden almost exclusively, except the times that the Missus rides passenger. No, she won't ride on this one.

I only have a couple thousand miles on the bike, but it's become my favorite.

It does well on gravel compared to our other bikes, and I find that I'm doing a bit of (gasp) off-road. But, not to worry - there was a guy on a WeeStrom that educated me about the perils of taking a Versys off-road.

Just ordered a set of side cases. We'll see how this one does on the longer trips.

That's all for now.

It'll handle the long hauls too. From Texas To Cali 850 miles day one the the remaining 550 miles day 2. Highway Pegs made a big difference....

If you can put it on a Versys you can probably find it on Joes farkle list. One thing is for sure the Versys has more aftermarket parts than I could imagine for a bike you rarely see.

I don't want to call it a diamond in the rough because there really is nothing rough about it....

It's a VASTLY underrated and under appreciated bike.

Did a 7000 mile trip in 2012. I have 25,000 miles on my '11. It is my go to summer bike.

The Adcox seat made the biggest difference in comfort for distance riding.

Just got back from a 6500 mile trip from Upstate NY out to Yellowstone and back via the Blue Ridge. Never missed a beat, super comfy but I lifted the front of the seat up with a spacer, airhawk medium cruiser, bar risers and highway pegs mounted to the SWM engine guards.
