I love the country BUT remember there are deer...

Hit one of these guys and it WILL ruin your afternoon.

And one of these will likely cost you a pair of shorts if find him in front of you after zipping around a turn.

So you can imagine what was going through my freaked out little mind when I found one of these monsters Wall to Wall in front of me He had a plow that was HORIZON TO HORIZON as well. Good thing I carry Nitro for the old ticker!

Now I did know they were out and about as it rained last night/this morning and there was fresh dirt all over the road. Sure sign there farmers out making a living. BUT those suckers are BIG!

Or was that look THEN leap?

These are common is Wisconsin too. They keep me on my toes. I've had many close calls with deer, in Wisconsin, U.P. of Michigan, and West Virginia. No hits though. My mind/hands/feet are now programmed - see a deer within 30 yards of the road, slam on the brakes. They're so unpredictable.

I do the same, PLUS hit the horn button for my Stebel Nautilus "clone" horn...! They're usually back into the woods before I arrive where they were.

I see deer on an almost daily basis. Most of the time they're head down, grazing. But, there's always that one crazy deer that wants to race you..... I always let them win.

Mostly, I try to come to a quick stop when I see them and lay on the horn.

So far, so good.
