What kind of paint?

What brand of paint did you use? I've been thinking about doing the same on mine, but with black instead of silver.

Don't you think that it's a ^%#$&# shame that Hunter S. Thompson wasn't an adventure rider? Imagine the ride reports...!

Nice. VeeWNC, you can use the krylon 'fusion' in black. Several on the site have used it with success.

Someone's review:

Rustoleum "Metal Hammered" from Walmart, I think the number was 7218 and called Dark Bronze. I considered Matte black, but I wanted to blend the plastic into the engine. I think the black looks good on the models with black frames. The color and texture is a near perfect match to the titanium colored engine covers.

It worked out really well on the hugger. I may go ahead and make the change.
Thanks!

The Dark grey looks better than black with the silver frame, IMHO.
