I was exiting the Poplar Street Bridge to hop onto 55 South in STL this morning. It's a fairly sharp little exit (they're starting construction on it soon to lengthen it). Little did I know, a semi about 80 yds ahead of me was dumping diesel fuel all over the dripline.
It was a sketchy ride there for a bit but the V and I pulled through sticking close to the shoulder afterward until I passed it. I think the little truck behind me freaked out...I remember checking my six at a couple points and seeing the gap between us grow quite a bit
NO idea if tires make much of a difference in this situation but my Metzler Sportec M3s seemed to handle it pretty well.
Sooo...Ride careful! Wear your gear! Watch those driplines! etc., etc.
