MountainMan has a Kenda K761 120/90-17 4PR 64H TT (tube type) on the front. Its outer diameter is 25.5" (647 mm) compared to the 130/80-17 4PR 65H TT's 25.0" (636 mm). Both the 120/90 and 130/80 require raising front fender, but only the 130/80 is recommended for the Versys front 3.5" rim. A rear tire should also be mounted backwards on the front.

Neither the 120 or the 130 shinko will fit under the ft fender in its stock location ... I have been running the 120/90-17 on the front of my bike for half the summer ..."I LIKE IT "

does anyone know (this could be a dumb question) but... are all these people running 120/90's up front putting tubes in? or are they running them tubeless?

I think I would be more scared about running a tube type tire with no tube then one that was not designed for the width of my rim

Some of these tires can be purchased as tubeless. I would expect that anyone running a tube-type tire would also run a tube.

Just my $0.02,
