tall baldwin seat is a keeper!

finally got out today to test ride the tall Baldwin seat I got from rod c. (rsjb41). it didn't feel all that special when I sat on it in the basement a few times. but damn, I sure like it now that Ive rode awhile. its way different than my corbin, which I like real well too. being 3 or 4 inches higher is a whole new riding experience. it lets me set my feet on the engine guard and even the rear pegs with comfort. and I get clean air on my helmet now. I still flatfoot the pavement when I stop, which I like.i haven't decided whether to try and dye the little green patch to red or black or just buy a green versys. --------

That's great Dale, glad it works for you! I loved it while riding but at 5'9" it was a little tough on me when I stopped. I think I'll end up getting a standard or low Baldwin. Maybe you should get a green Versys, they are faster.

Dale - I'm in the "buy-a-green-V-to-go-with-the-Baldwin-seat" camp. There's a used '09 green just up the road, and a NEW green '14 at a dealer in West Kelowna....

I heard there were some new 2014's in green. I wonder if the green ones are for sale in the u.s. as well. ------ive been thinking about getting a new one, and the green would probably be my first choice if its available here.-----

The gel is not a big deal if you don't have it. With it in the winter the seat was harder....

I believe that the gel seats have white piping, and VERSYS written across the part where your butt goes BACK against.

Going to order my standard gel baldwin soon. I didn't think I would need it but after a few long rides my butt phoned and told me to take care of it.
