What a good Horse!!! Part 2
I've posted a couple times while I was on my trip, over the last 7 weeks. This will close out the trip and a chapter in my life. And yes, What a good horse it is!!
I traveled around 8500 miles and hit 17 states, just on my way to visit some friends and family. The bike worked great through all the different conditions. I oiled and chain every day when I stopped and I never needed to adjust it. I had the original tires replaced before I headed home.
The only problem was the gas cap drain line being plugged. There was a few days that I rode at least some in the rain, and when I would fuel up, I could see water around the filler neck. I could not get a piece of wire through the drain line, but the shop that changed my tires blew it out. They confirmed that it had been plugged. I will keep an eye out but we really don't get much rain in California.
For now, I will probably remove the panniers and get ready for a summer of local rides. There are lots of good roads around here and I know a few guys I can ride with.
