Never felt the need to see how fast my V will go, but I've probably been up to around 140 to 150 on a 'dodgy' two-lane passing situation.

I can get on the highway by my house run thru the gears and pin the throttle back and hold it for 30sec . the speedo hit 117mph to 118 and if the wind blows it will drop down to 115 . 200kph is 124mph my bike cant go that fast im running a 44 tooth rear

My Versys starts to struggle post 100 mph. I've had it to 109 I think, but I was in traffic on I-20 and my exit was fast approaching

Speed scares me! I almost hit 35 MPH the other day. Oh yeah . . . a "white knuckle" event!

At those speeds "Things" can happen in what seems like fractions of seconds.

I routinely do the 'ton' - 100mph or 160kph here, just to let the V stretch it's legs. There is still more there, but we really have to be careful here as the man will throw you in jail for 'racing' and confiscate bike for a week. Very expensive fine and insurance after that. I have a few spots where I know I'm safe to ride very fast, and I do like to ride very fast.
