Shopping for a 2010 Versys

None of the dealers where I live (eastern Canada) have any left over 2009 Versys. The best deal I've found so far is to pre order a 2010 with a $1000CAD deposit - for a total price of $8300CAD (including delivery/service charges). Is this a good price or can I do better? If anyone lives in the north east US hoping you can chime in with the prices there - if it's significantly cheaper I'd be willing to make the trip to pick it up.

This probably does not help much but my dealer has 09's on clearance for $6,350, no other fees, maybe a little tax.

I have seen an 09 new on Ebay for around $5700 dollars plus $250 more bs charge, according to ad thats the only fees added to it other than 20 bucks for title work. If this ad is real it is the cheapest new 09 Versys I have seen. If I remember right it was in Ohio??

The cheapest new bike I could find in Canada was $6500 out the door for an 09. I would then have had to ship it 700 miles. I think I may wait till next year and then take a trip to New England for the purchase and ride it back. This would pay for the trip and then some. Prices seem so much better there it does not make sense.

I bought my '09 in March '09 from a small dealer in Renfrew and it was around $8k even out the door, so your deal looks good. That was about $1200 less than that big dealer in Ottawa who quoted me nothing but MSRP and then added $325 shipping which is totally at their descretion....
