Ahhh...now I see.

This trip was worth it. On a previous run through a dark and twisty road, no street lighting and a place where deer come out at night, I found out how poorly the V's headlights performed. So last night I headed back there with a 10mm socket on a one foot flexible extension. I pulled off to the side of the road and with little effort I was able to get the socket on the vertical adjustment bolt and voila, let there be light! And plenty of it, even on low beam.No need to remove any plastics and worthwhile if you aren't satisfied with the head light as I've read on some posts. Next up is a Silverstar bulb when the stocker burns out. I'm happy.

I have read some posts by folks saying the Versys headlight was inadequate.

You are the first to point out that it is probably the adjustment. You are right i think.

I have never had a problem thinking mine was inadequate it has always been just fine. I use a silverstar on my shadow, made about a 200% improvement.

blipco, my friend, I have no doubt you are a real genius, as Mark correctly pointed out.

I was trying to remind the other average minded people (like me) that sometimes the answer to a problem we think only we have is actually already been posted and solved on the forum. It's amazing what good stuff comes up when you search the forum.

Follow the advice of Godstavo. I used Silverstars, which were good, but the 65W Hella from www.SUVlights.com simply rock! I've got the clear in the low, and the white as a high. Very noticable to cagers, and they throw a lot of light.

2007 Versys Black, V35 Bags, H&B Bars, Skidmarx Hugger.Fender Ex., Avon Distanzia, Braided Lines, Hella 65W bulbs Arrow Can, DNA Air filter, GIVI tall screen (for winter), PCIII, Baldwin Saddle. **SOLD**

2011 KTM SM-T. Crash bars, E55 Top Box, Fender extender front and rear.
